Commisioned by Marco Balich for the Salone del Mobile’s official installation, this project honoured the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death, and celebrated his vision for a future Milan.
An 8m LED panel was set at the head of a canal lock, one designed by Da Vinci himself, to offer a portal into a future vision of the city. Composited live through Touch Designer and running constantly for 5 days, the piece reacted to light and weather conditions so that the illusion was never broken.
